The hallmark of classic design defines this newly renovated kitchen and family room. Our clients wanted an open footprint for convenience and comfort for family living. Traditional painted cabinetry is complemented by the autumn blush cherry wood island. Its granite countertop provides a space to prepare food and serves as a breakfast bar. A built-in pantry with a microwave station and landing area provides utility and storage. A bar area with a wine rack and wine captain separates the eating area from the family room. The warmth of cherry wood flooring ties the kitchen and family room together. Custom cherry bookcases with beadboard backing were designed to complement the kitchen cabinetry. The fireplace wall was rebuilt with a direct vent fireplace unit and Jeffrey Court stacked stone, finished with a granite hearth with a chiseled edge.
