This spacious lakefront townhouse lacked efficiency in the kitchen area. The clients’ desire for a better use of space resulted in the reallocation of walls, appliances and a half bath. The contemporary grey slab cabinetry is softened with cherry wood doors at the bar area. Beneath the cabinetry, glass doors were framed in aluminum that tilts up for easy access. Undercabinet plugs were installed, leaving the tile backsplash clear of clutter. The raised breakfast counter shields the food preparation area from the living and dining rooms. A randomly patterned porcelain tile floor and stainless steel Bosch appliances complement this state-of-the-art kitchen.
