Shaan Legros of Orchard Park has been named the second recipient of a $500 Repp Renovations scholarship, presented through the Orchard Park High School Academy of Finance.

Legros, a 2016 graduate of OPHS, has been accepted to the business school ESCP Europe, where he will focus on international management in the Bachelor of Management program. He will spend the 2016-17 school year in London, followed by a year in Madrid and another year in Berlin.

Legros belonged to the Academy of Finance and DECA for four years.  He had a summer internship at Polymer Conversions Inc., where he worked under management and quality control. Aside from the Academy of Finance, he was involved in the varsity soccer, swimming and tennis teams.  He and his twin brother, Maxime, led the boys’ swimming and diving team to an undefeated season as co-captains. Legros also participated in high school sailing, Model United Nations, Outreach, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Math Club.

Additionally, Legros made school history as the first Orchard Park student to run for DECA state office. He was elected as the New York DECA State Treasurer in March 2015. He also competed at the regional, state and international levels, consistently winning at the regional and state conferences.  His volunteer work included organizing a local Verizon HopeLine phone drive and a state charity for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The employees at Repp Renovations would like to congratulate Legros on his achievements during high school and wish him continued success in his studies in Europe.

Repp Renovations, located on Taylor Road, is a full-service renovation company specializing in custom kitchens, bathrooms and additions. The business presents two AOF scholarships annually to Orchard Park seniors. Legros’ brother Maxime was the other recipient of this year’s awards.
